Mandatory rights remain

Applicable consumer rights are not restricted by these terms.

1. Agreement and operator

These Terms of Service form an agreement between you and Omicskills, an online bioinformatics education platform operated from Pakistan. They apply when you visit omicskills.com, create an account, make a purchase, access learning content, attend an event, use the community, or use an AI-assisted feature.

By using the platform, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you purchase through a Merchant of Record or another payment provider, the provider's checkout terms also apply to the payment transaction. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to enter into this agreement. If the law where you live requires parental or guardian consent, you may use the platform only with that consent.

You must provide accurate information, maintain the security of your account, and promptly notify hello@omicskills.com of suspected unauthorized use. An account is personal to one learner and may not be sold, shared, or transferred.

3. What Omicskills provides

Omicskills provides original and instructor-contributed bioinformatics education through self-paced courses, learning paths, practical exercises, quizzes, assignments, downloadable resources, certificates, live or recorded events, discussions, and learning-support features.

The product page identifies the content, instructor, price, availability, estimated duration, prerequisites, and access included in a specific purchase. Unless a product page expressly says otherwise, a purchase does not include private consulting, custom data analysis, guaranteed instructor response times, employment placement, academic credit, or a professional qualification.

4. Orders, prices, and payment

Prices are displayed before checkout, generally in USD. Applicable sales tax, VAT, currency conversion, or local charges may be calculated by the payment provider and shown before the order is completed. You authorize the displayed charge when you submit payment.

Paid transactions are processed by the provider identified at checkout. Paddle currently handles supported paid checkouts and may act as Merchant of Record and authorized reseller. The provider may perform fraud checks, collect tax, issue receipts, and process refunds or disputes under its own terms. Omicskills does not store complete card details.

Access is granted only after payment is confirmed. We may cancel or correct an order affected by an obvious pricing, technical, duplicate-fulfillment, or fraud error and will arrange any refund required as a result.

5. Digital-content access and licence

A course, learning-path, or recording purchase grants a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to stream and use the included content for your own education. Ownership is not transferred.

Where “lifetime access” is stated, it means access for as long as Omicskills continues to make that product available, subject to these Terms. We may update, replace, or retire content for academic quality, legal, security, licensing, or technical reasons. Where practical, we will provide reasonable notice or a suitable alternative for a material retirement.

  • You may not copy, record, scrape, redistribute, resell, sublicense, publicly display, or bypass access controls for platform content.
  • Downloadable resources may be used for personal study unless a different licence is shown with the resource.
  • Certificates confirm completion of platform requirements; they do not represent university credit, professional licensure, or guaranteed competence beyond the stated course.

6. Events and recordings

Event dates, times, speakers, delivery method, participant role, price, and recording availability are shown on the event page. You are responsible for checking the displayed time and having a compatible internet connection and device.

Speakers, agendas, or delivery details may change for reasonable operational reasons. If Omicskills cancels an event or makes a material schedule change and no reasonable alternative is accepted, affected paid registrations are eligible for a refund.

Access to an event recording is personal and may not be captured, shared, or redistributed. Refund limits for live registrations and recording purchases are stated in the Refund Policy and are disclosed again before payment.

7. Refunds

Refund eligibility depends on the product type, purchase date, course or learning-path consumption, event start time, and recording playback. The complete rules and request process are set out in the Refund Policy.

Nothing in these Terms limits a refund, cancellation, or other remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under mandatory consumer law. Payment providers or Merchants of Record may also issue refunds where required by law, card-network rules, or their own risk and dispute procedures.

8. Community conduct and user content

You retain ownership of original content you submit. You grant Omicskills a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, format, and display that content only as needed to operate, moderate, and promote the relevant platform feature.

  • Do not post unlawful, deceptive, infringing, abusive, discriminatory, sexually exploitative, malicious, or privacy-invasive content.
  • Do not impersonate others, manipulate reviews or votes, send spam, harvest personal information, or use discussions to distribute unauthorized course materials.
  • Do not probe, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or circumvent platform security, payment, media, or access-control systems.
  • We may remove content or restrict accounts where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, or comply with law.

9. Educational and AI-assisted information

Course materials, community discussions, and AI-assisted responses are provided for education. Bioinformatics methods, software, databases, and scientific understanding change over time, and results must be independently checked before use in research, clinical, regulatory, or commercial decisions.

Omics Ai may produce inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated output. It is not a substitute for professional scientific, medical, legal, financial, or research-integrity review. Do not submit confidential datasets, patient information, credentials, or information you are not authorized to disclose.

10. Intellectual property and reports

The platform, brand, interface, software, course videos, text, graphics, assessments, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Omicskills and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

If you believe material on the platform infringes your rights, email hello@omicskills.com with your contact information, identification of the protected work, the location of the material, and a good-faith explanation of the issue.

11. Availability and changes

We work to keep the platform reliable but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Maintenance, provider outages, security incidents, internet conditions, or circumstances outside reasonable control may temporarily affect access.

We may improve or change features and these Terms. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date and, where required, communicated before taking effect. Changes do not retroactively remove mandatory rights or an approved refund.

12. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the platform at any time and may request account deletion subject to the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access for material or repeated violations, fraud, chargeback abuse, threats to platform security, or legal requirements.

Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue. Refunds are not provided for access lost because of a substantiated material violation, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.

13. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the platform and educational content are provided on an “as available” basis without guarantees of a particular academic, research, employment, income, or professional outcome.

Omicskills is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss that was not reasonably foreseeable. Where liability cannot be excluded, total liability relating to a paid product will not exceed the amount paid for that product. These limits do not apply where exclusion is prohibited, including liability that cannot legally be limited or mandatory consumer remedies.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without excluding mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence. Before starting formal proceedings, you and Omicskills agree to make a good-faith attempt to resolve the issue through hello@omicskills.com.

Subject to any mandatory right to bring a claim elsewhere, the courts of Pakistan have non-exclusive jurisdiction. Nothing here prevents either party from seeking urgent relief or using a payment-provider or consumer-protection process available by law.

15. Contact

Questions about an order, these Terms, or the platform can be sent to hello@omicskills.com. Include the email used for your account and, for billing questions, the product and transaction date. Never email a complete card number, password, or authentication code.

Previous versions are available on request. If a translated version conflicts with this English version, the English version controls to the extent permitted by law.
